                                                                         4.5/5
So I cannot pick which one of these I love the best. Romance is always a genre I like but I am not a fan of the sweet romance. These were right up my alley. They are strong men and strong women and a little bit of mystery and sex. Each story has you pulling for the characters. You laugh and pull for them all. Every author does such a good job of telling of bringing you to rot for these couples. I am looking forward to checking out each one of these authors!

The unlikely pair are thrust into a world of fantasy, sexual hunger, and mysterious powers. Join Sorscha as she discovers that she is not quite the nobody she thought she was, and after years of trying to get in the Grumpy ole’ bear’s pants—she is going to have to start ‘trying’ to keep him out of hers. Meet the Author Bonnie Bliss is the brain child of two authors. Bonnie is husband and wife duo that has come together to weave stories of passion, action, betrayal, and ultimate surrender. They have discovered that mixing genres in their thing. Their tastes go dark, and they love to twisted up sweet stories and make them a bit more tense and sexy. Bonnie writes in multiple genres with plans to dabble into more areas of fiction. One is a Southern California native, the other was born and raised in Yorkshire, England. The husband spends his time giving the wife alpha males with bite. He is a man that needs to see his world in print. He has a panty melting accent, loves listening to music, watching Game of Thrones, and obsessing over Heisenberg. The wife spends her time writing strong women that evolve into their power, they don’t just come out guns blazing. She claims the song California Girls, by Katy Perry is totally accurate. She’s done everything from waitressing, customer service phone rep., Corporate Real Estate, and spent a pretty impression part of her life working for the Disney Corporation—before finding her way into the publishing world with her husband. excerpt Tethur didn’t look like a bear now, although his eyes had that deep glowing hue to them. The heat of rage radiated off him. “Do you have any fucking idea what I thought when I went to our room and saw not only the lock shattered, but you missing?” he snarled at her. His voice and aggression was so fierce his hot breath fluttered her hair around her face. Closing her eyes and taking a deep breath, she stormed around him. “You can’t just lock me up like a doll, Tethur. You spent my whole life caging me, I realized today. No more. I have powers, I’m strong. I can do stuff on my own, you know,” she fired back. “I can lock you anywhere I wish. That is my right as your guardian and mate,” he roared. His huge arm locked around her upper arms and she was spun around. A squeal leaked from her lips as she was pinned against the wall. She heard the ice splinter. A sharp whistle sounded, and she looked over at Cassandra just before Tethur’s large bicep blocked her path. He caged her in with both his huge, bulging arms. Arousal consumed her. Hmm, who would have thought? Sorscha’s chest rose and fell, her heartbeat kicked up a notch and she met his fierce, predatory gaze with her own look of defiance. “Dear Goddess, thank you for gifting me with a horny elf and not a bear.” Cassandra tossed the couple a wink and disappeared back outside. “No, wait…” Sorscha protested. The deep rumble that came from Tethur’s chest drew her gaze back to him. “You’re being unreasonable,” she whispered. Tethur leaned in closer. His nose brushed against hers. The hair that covered his cheek and jaw brushed over the tender flesh of her cheek, and she shivered. “Unreasonable? So that is what you call keeping you alive?” he rumbled. “I call caging me unreasonable,” she whispered. Turning her head to the side, feeling the hot breath spilling over her cheek, she squealed and ducked out from under him. Trying to run, she heard the roar and the sound of rending fabric, and froze. He had shifted. Sorscha’s eyelids fluttered shut and she braced for impact. Tethur was shockingly gentle with how, as a bear, he threw her over his shoulder and moved up the stairs with the grace of any animal in the wild. He dropped her to her feet at the foot of the bed. Before her eyes he shifted. His fur slid back into his skin, his muzzle melted into the handsome man she had known her whole life. Those glowing eyes gazed at her as if she were a feast laid out just for him. But it wasn’t just his face, oh no, she could see him all, including the huge club he called a cock standing proud and reaching to his belly button. Her mouth went dry and she fought to drag her eyes back up to his. They were both breathing hard. They looked at one another, and Tethur’s steps ate up the space between them. “Strip,” he growled. She could feel her eyes go wide. Her words gone, lost, as he looked down at her, his gaze burning through her clothes. She took a step back and he matched it, keeping his bare chest pressed against her. “No!” she said with much more fire than she felt. “Yes, but you will,” he rumbled back at her. The confidence in his voice shattered her independence. She would not give into him, she couldn’t. Tethur would understand that she was equal to him. “Little bird,” he warned. “If you don’t do it, then I will, and I’m not in control.” Sorscha shook her head, attempting to clear her thoughts. It was hard when every nerve ending responded to him. His voice, his scent, his breath, dear God, she was drawn to him like a moth to a flame and her body fucking burned for him. Moving back, feeling as if he had left her with no escape, her next words were stuttered out again. “Look, just because I was swoony over you in high school doesn’t mean I will let you, just, well…” she paused. Should I say fuck me? Because I kind of want him to fuck me. “So you call smelling like heaven and honey twenty-four seven, and pushing every button I have day and night…swoony?” he growled. She gulped as he prowled closer and she retreated. The chase, small as it was, excited her. Feeling her body get warm as sweat beaded onto her flesh, the cool air brushed against her and she realized they were outside, on the balcony. Trapped like a…bird. Social Links

Review
4/5
So when I first saw the title and cover of this book I was intrigued. Military novels are one of the generas that interest me. More so because it is about an army reserve Medic. So this book is about CPT Caruthers deployment in 2007. He is a flight medic and works in the ER.
For me this book was very personal. My husband was on this deployment. It was our first deployment and we were just married. Most of that deployment I do not remember since it was 6 years ago. The way the story is written it makes those memories come back like yesterday. With every wonderful description I can picture it in my mind and remember those pictures my husband took and stories told. It was so amazing hearing this story that I have heard many times described so wonderfully. I love hear this story from his point of view. You can tell the people and the job are very important to him.
If you have never been deployed or the spouse waiting at home, this story will give you an amazing insight into army life. If you have never been deployed but are a military spouse, this is also a great read. We army wives hear what our husbands tell us and listen to same stories over. But most often when we talked to them there was so much more to say.
I could go on forever but you should pick this up and read it. It shows just how important our soliders our regardless of if they are reservist or active duty. Plus the peek into soliders daily life is pretty funny.

Excerpt:

My nose hairs stung as I shook the sleep from my head. The putrid smell was back in force, although I hadn’t noticed it the night before. I reminded myself to call someone in housing and have them try to disrupt whatever animal funerals were occurring under my hooch.
I sat down in my office and rested my head on my left hand, feeling stubble there. I hadn’t forgotten to shave, but I’d somehow skipped that half of my face.
“You look like hell,” Maria said.
“I love you, too,” I replied. I went on to tell her the details of the prior night’s flying adventure. I was just wrapping up the story when I looked up to see Sullivan.
“I just wanted to apologize for last night,” she began. “I didn’t mean to leave you hanging with an unstable patient but I had to have eyes out.”
“I understand that. What was going on up there?” I asked. I wanted to ask what was more important than giving our patient CPR, but I held off, figuring Sully would explain it, and she did.
We had taken fire.
Apparently some idiot with a machine gun had opened fire on us, and the pilots had released several clusters of flares to mask our position, then banked sharply to fly sideways to our original course.
Sully laughed as she told me the rest – the bad guy had then turned on a spotlight, trying to shine through the flares to get another crack at us, but he discovered an interesting military fact instead.
The Cobra AH-1 attack helicopter also has a spotlight.
Upon seeing our escort craft, the dirtbag repented of his terroristic ways and ran full speed into the bushes. I waited with anticipation to hear about how the AH-1 fired a rocket up this guy’s ass, but apparently when the medical chopper one is supposed to be protecting takes off in a dead sprint at 150 mph, it’s considered bad form to stick around to shoot one bad guy, so they peeled away and followed us.
Sully’s commander would later tell me that we hadn’t taken “enough” fire for the engagement to qualify as a combat action.
So I was content to know that we got shot at “some.” I was also glad that the guy wasn’t that good at it.

Book Description:

Wizdom didn't know dragons really existed. He's never ridden a white woolly mammoth or flown on a griffin. He's never known a real king or a princess or been friends with a goblin. Wizdom's never seen elves that glow blue all the time. All he's ever known are his adoptive mother and his aunt Kayden. One day he finds himself in a secret world, face to face with dragons and fire monsters. He meets an interesting girl, Pandora, who he learns is no ordinary girl, just as he is no ordinary boy. Wizdom soon finds himself on a magical journey full of secrets, sorcery, danger and evil. He fights many fierce battles and faces certain death as his quest leads him on an adventure like never before as he discovers his true identity . . . or does he?

Excerpt:

Wizdom stared in awe, unconsciously holding his breath, as
he looked up the endless staircase of gleaming black marble
before him. The air around him was damp and musty and tickled his
nostrils. Cobwebs hung overhead, dangling high above him from the
towering ceiling. Perched at the top of the stairs was a large, golden
dragon throne. Sitting on white marble, it was surrounded by statues
of goblins, gargoyles and other strange creatures. They all stared back
disconcertingly at Wizdom, some with tongues out, others with piercing
eyes, bared teeth or pointed ears. The dragon’s head held its mouth
agape, as if ready to devour him, revealing a long golden tongue jutting
out and sharp pointed teeth. The arms of the throne were created by
the front legs of the dragon and the claws made up the feet of the chair.
A huge tail jutted out from the back of the chair and coiled around
to the front like a sitting cat. Three spikes on the tail’s end glistened
in piercing diamond shards. Giant wings stood out from the dragon’s
back, poised for flight, black and shimmering like dark sapphires. Its
eyes were large rubies, and its body was sprinkled in faceted jewels.
Two spiraling horns jutted out from its head, over a foot of solid gold,
with diamonds on the tips. Held within the horns shone an enormous
crimson red stone, casting an eerie glow and dancing shadows over the
stone statues surrounding it.

What was this place? Where was he? He dared to move forward,
ever so slowly, toward this great altar. His pulse racing, palms sweating,
he paused momentarily, staring up at the dragon’s red gleaming eyes.
As he approached the stairs, the dragon’s fiery eyes stared down at him
unnervingly, as if it was alive, watching him.

Wizdom wondered about how he had gotten there. How did he
get here? He glanced around the great hall surrounding him. Flickering
candles, sconces and torches aligned the walls of marbled stone. The
ceiling was several stories high and great pillars supported the wooden
arches above him. Shadows and darkness surrounded him, except for
the faint glow of the iron torches, and the scarlet glow of the jewel
radiating from the dragon’s crown jewel. He could feel some sort of
power emanating from it as he stood there. It made him feel happy and
safe, despite his surroundings.

Suddenly, he saw movement out of the corner of his left eye. He
looked quickly, but saw nothing. Turning to scurrying sounds to his
right, he still saw nothing but black. Was he imagining things? Because
of the obscuring darkness, he could not see very far, only as far as the
torches lining the walls. He was only eleven but he was an adventurer
and never scared and despite his current situation, he normally loved
mysteries and secret places. Unconsciously, his pulse kept racing as

the silence crept eerily around him…

Taking Back Sunday Review.

Title: Taking Back Sunday (Incarnate Book One)
Author: Cristy Rey
Genre: Supernatural Suspense/ Paranormal Romance
Publication Date: March 11, 2014

After five years on the run, Sunday has finally settled into a seemingly normal life in Columbia, South Carolina. What her two best friends don’t know is that Sunday has a secret past. She is the Incarnate, a conduit of mystical energy transcendent of the mundane and the divine. For most of her life, she served under Bernadette, the most powerful witch in the Northwest. Her power is terrifying, and what she remembers of her past—and what she doesn’t—haunts her. In the year that she’s been attempting to be anything but the Incarnate, Sunday has fought her abilities tooth and nail, but it’s been worth it. When Sunday joins her friends’ coven for an innocent gathering, Sunday discovers a darkness hidden beneath the blanket of the coven’s magic and she is determined to find out who is behind it and what she has planned.

For the last four years, Cyrus has been the point man on the contract to recapture the Incarnate and deliver her to the Pastophori of Iset. A gifted tracker and a fearless werewolf, he harbors a wild, inexplicable passion for the Incarnate that has driven him to hunt her. He was one of the original captors that brought her to Bernadette when his obsession with her began. Having found her, Cyrus and his pack find themselves torn between two objectives: take her by force and deliver her to yet another group of fanatics, or help her uncover the traitor among her coven.

5/5
So I LOVED this book! Sunday has been running from her past. An evil witch Bernadette kidnapps her to use her as the incarnate(god like powerful). When she finally comes to and realizes what she has been made to do. Now 5 years later the past has come back. Cyrus and his pack mate have been searching for Sunday for 2 years and now they finally found her. But all the hate Cyrus has been feeling for her disappears when he sees her. Now everything is spiraling out of control.
So this was such an amazing book. It has been awhile since I have found a book that has kept me so intrigued. It was so well written and it kept you entrapped until the end. The story jumps back in time a lot and switches from POV. The thing that I loved was that it let you know what was going on. Not to much at one time but enough that you want to keep reading. Not only is there the main story between Sunday and Cyrus, but there is a side mystery that they have to solve to save the only people Sunday has cared for.
I could go on but you should read it. It is the first in a new series that yo need to read! I am so excited for the next book!!

Indie writer. Reader. Knitter. Short hair-enthusiast. Fairy godmother. Coffee-addict. Pet-parent. TV show marathoner. Ostrich-human hybrid.

Cristy Rey lives in Miami, FL. She is a reader and writer most of the time, and a knitter much less of the time than she was six months before she took up writing again.

Cristy writes the books that she likes to read. Her women are strong and out-spoken (most of the time), and her men run the gamut. Love stories abound in Cristy's work because, really, aren't love stories the best? Her stories also touch upon themes of identity, intimacy, family, and social issues. There's always a killer soundtrack running in the background of her novels - all you need to do is turn to the playlist to know what's up.

If you met Cristy, you’d probably tell her that she’s tall since people seem to think that she needs to become aware of said fact. She and her friends get together to drink tea, eat scones, and talk about Sherlock—they sometimes pretend they’re a book club but that’s just their excuse to get together
